Match Report: VCF Mestalla held to last gasp home draw (2-2)

VCF Mestalla welcomed Orihuela CF on Sunday the 7th of February at the Antonio Puchades at 12 pm kick-off on matchday 13 in group III-B of Segunda B.
VCF Mestalla were back in home action following back-to-back away draws. They came out searching for the win. Óscar Fernández’side dominated possession in the early goings of the game bringing menace up top through a series of corner kicks and further long range efforts from William . C and Jesús Vázquez which were saved by Leandro.
Miguel Marí broke the deadlock for Orihuela CF against the run of play over the half-hour mark. The first half played out without further incidents and VCF Mestalla trailed Orihuela CF at the interval.
VCF emerged in the second half looking to restore parity. Esquerdo enjoyed two dangerous drives and Jesús delivered an inviting cross played onside by Willliam. C but Fran Navarro could not quite put it away.
Fran Navarro was on hand at the second time of asking as he latched on a Pablo Gozalbez right-hand cross to fire VCF Mestalla level on his comeback from injury after weeks on the sidelines to take his personal tally to 8 goals.
Emaná stabbed it home following a move that saw VCF Mestalla knock the ball from side to side into Hugo González who whipped it in from the right-hand side and Emaná kept his wits about it to polish off and put VCF Mestalla in front.
Olmedo denied VCF Mestalla the win in cruel fashion a last-gasp strike which meant that VCF Mestalla Orihuela CF shared the spoils at full-time at the Antonio Puchades at VCF’s training ground.
